William H. Craig Race for Life!

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.

It was with great love and the sweet memories of our dear friend that Campbell Orthodontics joined together with the community to once again sponsor this year’s William H. Craig Race for Life. This year we were honored to partner with Girls on the Run and the Stride Youth Program for this popular event. The run took place on Saturday, December 10th at Greenfield Lake. We want to thank all of our patients, families and friends that participated in this year’s event. We look forward to seeing everyone next year as we continue to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Craig and run in the Race for Life!

Mission of Mercy!

On Friday, April 29th, 2011, The Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic was held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Wilmington, NC. This mobile dental clinic, organized by Wilmington dentist, Dr. Robert Plage and his wife Ann, allows residents of our community to receive free dental care for one weekend. Many area dentists, including Dr. Campbell and several members of the Campbell Orthodontics staff volunteered their time to serve the Wilmington Community through this wonderful event. It is true...It is in helping others that we are blessed ourselves!

We love Field Trips!

This past February, Campbell Orthodontics was honored to host over 100 elementary school students for our National Children's Dental Health Month Field Trips. For the past six years now, we have enjoyed promoting good oral hygiene to students from several of local elementary schools. Are you a teacher? Ask us about how you can bring your class to Campbell Orthodontics for an educational experience!

Smile for a Lifetime, Wilmington and Tri-County Chapter
Serving New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick County
Dr. Robert B. Campbell, Founder and Orthodontic Provider

Dr. Campbell and Holly are pleased to announce the beginning of the Wilmington and Tri-County Chapter of the nationally known foundation, Smile for a Lifetime. Smile for a Lifetime is a non-profit, charitable organization comprised of local chapters throughout the country that provide quality orthodontic treatment for children who may not have the opportunity to achieve a beautiful, straight smile without financial assistance.

At Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, it is our mission to create self-confidence, inspire hope, and change the lives of children in our communities in a dramatic way. The gift of a smile can do all this for a deserving, under-served child who, in turn, can use this gift to better themselves and their community.

For more information about Smile for a Lifetime, including how to apply, please click on the Smile for a Lifetime link at the top of this page. We look forward to this amazing opportunity to serve Wilmington some new smiles!

Dr. Campbell and Holly Support the American Belarussian Relief Organization

Each summer Dr. Campbell and Holly have the privilege of hosting the same sweet little boy from Belarus for 6 weeks through the American Belarussian Relief Organization. This incredible program allows children to receive medical care as well as some needed time away from their harmful environment. While it is hard to believe, Belarus is still suffering from the effects of the Chernobyl incident which sent radioactive material into the environment back in the eighties. The Campbells see it as an absolute blessing to share their home and lives with such a special child.

To find out more about this program, you can visit www.abro.org or to read the Campbells blog about last year's experience, visit www.mybelarussiansummer.blogspot.com.
