
Dr. Robert Campbell
Dr. Campbell is glad that you have chosen our practice and he looks forward to meeting you soon. Dr. Campbell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Campbell received his B.S. degree from Dickinson College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He received his dental degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, where he also achieved Magna Cum Laude honors and was presented with the Harry E. Kelsey award given by the Department of Orthodontics. While in dental school, he co-authored an article that appeared in the Journal of the American Dental Association. Dr. Campbell received his orthodontic specialty training in a two-and-a-half-year orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Campbell moved to Wilmington and began practicing orthodontics in January of 2002. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Campbell is a leading provider of the Damon Bracket System and regularly attends Damon Study Club meetings with other well known orthodontists in the state. Dr. Campbell is currently working on developing a highly respected Spear Study Club for the Wilmington community of dentists and specialists.
Dr. Campbell and his wife, Holly, met in junior high, were "high school sweethearts," and have been married since 1996. They love living in the Wilmington community and have one daughter named Sydney who loves dancing, bike riding and playing in the water!
Holly is an administrative assistant for Campbell Orthodontics. When she isn't working in the office, she loves serving the community through organizations such as The Good Friends of Wilmington, the American Belarussian Relief Organization, the Parsley PTA, and Port City Community Church. You might also find her running or on the golf course!
Dr. Campbell enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, boating, traveling and attending Port City Community Church. He continues to enjoy furthering his orthodontic practice through new ideas learned in study clubs, practicing the latest in treatment techniques and attending continuing education meetings.
